Using Lory with Zoom

Lory is a self-hosted meeting assistant. Using the Zoom Meeting SDK, "Lory Notetaker" joins the meetings you invite it to, captures the audio, and produces a speaker-labeled transcript and a structured report — all processed and stored on your own infrastructure. This guide explains how to add, use and remove the Zoom integration.

Adding the app (connect Zoom)

Each organization connects its own Zoom account, so credentials and data stay with you.

1. 1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your account and choose Develop → Build App → General App.
2. 2. Open Embed → Meeting SDK and enable it. Turn on "Are you developing a programmatic join use case?" (this allows Lory to join meetings automatically).
3. 3. In App Credentials, copy your Client ID and Client Secret.
4. 4. In your Lory deployment, set ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_ID and ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_SECRET to these values, then restart Lory.
5. 5. (Optional) In your Zoom account's Settings → Recording, enable Local Recording and auto-approve if you use recording mode. For device-capture mode this is not required.

Using the app

1. 1. In Lory, paste a Zoom meeting link and start the meeting.
2. 2. Lory Notetaker joins the meeting. If a waiting room is on, admit it as the host.
3. 3. Lory captures the audio while people speak. Participants see the standard notice where Zoom requires it.
4. 4. When the meeting ends (or you click Leave in Lory), Lory transcribes the audio and generates a report, stored in your Lory instance.

Removing the app

1. 1. Remove ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_ID and ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_SECRET from your Lory configuration and restart Lory. Lory can no longer join Zoom meetings.
2. 2. In the Zoom App Marketplace, open your Meeting SDK app and choose Delete to revoke the credentials entirely.
3. 3. To remove already-processed data, delete the relevant meetings/recordings from your Lory instance.

Uygulamayı kullanma

1. 1. Lory'de bir Zoom toplantı linki yapıştırın ve toplantıyı başlatın.
2. 2. Lory Notetaker toplantıya katılır. Bekleme odası açıksa host olarak kabul edin.
3. 3. Konuşulurken Lory sesi yakalar. Zoom'un gerektirdiği yerlerde katılımcılar standart bildirimi görür.
4. 4. Toplantı bittiğinde (veya Lory'de Ayrıl'a bastığınızda) Lory sesi yazıya döker ve bir rapor üretir; kendi Lory kurulumunuzda saklanır.

Uygulamayı kaldırma

1. 1. Lory yapılandırmanızdan ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_ID ve ZOOM_SDK_CLIENT_SECRET'i kaldırın ve Lory'yi yeniden başlatın. Lory artık Zoom toplantılarına katılamaz.
2. 2. Zoom App Marketplace'te Meeting SDK app'inizi açıp Delete ile credential'ları tamamen iptal edin.
3. 3. Halihazırda işlenmiş veriyi kaldırmak için ilgili toplantıları/kayıtları kendi Lory kurulumunuzdan silin.
